View Instagram posts without the login wall

One post opened: every carousel slide, the full caption and the counts.

Logged out, a post link on instagram.com usually shows the first image and then a sign-up box. Carousels stop at slide one. The caption gets cut off.

The IGviewr IG post viewer loads the whole post: every slide, the full caption, the posting date, likes, location, tagged accounts and any collaborator. It works for a single link or for an account’s whole grid.

  1. Paste a post link (instagram.com/p/ followed by a code), or type a username to browse the grid.
  2. Tap View anonymously.
  3. Open a post. Use the arrows to move through carousel slides.

See what an account reposted

In 2025 Instagram added reposts: people can reshare other accounts’ public posts and reels, and those reposts collect in a Reposts tab on their profile. Reposts don’t appear in the main grid.

The Reposts tab is quietly revealing. It shows what someone chose to spread, not just what they made. For a brand, it’s the content they endorse. For a person, it’s often a better picture of their interests than their own posts. IGviewr shows the Reposts tab like any other.

How to work out a post’s engagement rate

Likes alone don’t mean much. A post with 2,000 likes is excellent for an account with 20,000 followers and weak for one with 2 million. Engagement rate puts it in proportion.

The simple formula:

Engagement rate = (likes + comments) ÷ followers × 100

Worked example: a bakery with 18,000 followers posts a cake photo. It gets 540 likes and 36 comments.

(540 + 36) ÷ 18,000 × 100 = 3.2%

For one post that tells you little. Do it for the last 10 posts and average them. Then compare:

Warning signs: a sudden spike on one post with generic comments, or 50,000 followers with every post stuck around 100 likes.

When the like count is hidden

Since 2021, anyone can hide like counts on their own posts. You’ll see "Liked by [name] and others" instead of a number, in the app and here. Comments still show, so use the comment count and read the comments themselves to judge interest.

Photo quality: why the grid looks blurry

The grid shows small, cropped previews. Instagram now crops grid thumbnails to a taller shape, so square photos can look cut off. Open the post to see the full image at the size it was uploaded, usually up to 1080 pixels wide. That’s the version IGviewr shows.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will the person know I viewed their post?

No. Instagram doesn’t record who views posts, and IGviewr doesn’t use your account.

How many photos can an Instagram carousel have?

Up to 20 photos and videos in one post.

What’s a good engagement rate on Instagram?

It depends on account size and niche. Smaller accounts often see a few percent; large accounts much less. Compare accounts of similar size, not a single benchmark.

How do I see someone’s reposts?

Search their username and open the Reposts tab.

Why does a post say "Liked by others" with no number?

The owner has hidden the like count on that post.
